Merriment, Perma & more!

Saturday, May 30, 2015

So today we went to a benefit show! The photos were hard to take, Olivia didn't nap until after we left so she was super cranky and didn't want to sit still. So 9/10 of the photos are insanely blurry. But that's okay!

I guess you could have just shown up and not given/paid anything to watch Max, Sherri, Christie and everyone else perform but how crappy is that?? It's so selfless and cool of these artists to play a show they don't get a single penny for, they're raising awareness for something most people just overlook in Tyler. The poor
We got there around 3 and watched The Scrips, that was the very first time we'd ever seen or heard of them. Definitely an interesting band.
After this we went to Chick-fil-A to get our girl some nuggets and fries, when we came back, Merriment was playing. I've listened to Merriment before but I've never seen them/Christie perform so it was great watching her for the first time!
After Merriment finished, Sherri played a few Eisley songs. Again, I own a few Eisley records and have listened to them for a while now, but have never been fortunate enough to see them perform, but it was really great singing along with Sherri to each song. This family is so insanely talented. I don't think I've ever heard someone's voice just fill a room.
Olivia was getting pretty fussy at this point so after a few of Max's songs, I took Olivia to the nursery to play with Scarlett (Stacy's baby) Sophie (Chauntelle's baby) and Lucy (Sherri's baby). It was seriously so much fun to watch Olivia play with these girls, they're so sweet and talkative.
We left the nursery and went back out to watch Perma after a while.

We ended up leaving before they finished to take a car seat to someone and let our girl nap. Everyone did so great and even though Olivia was screaming during most songs, it was so much fun. The best thing about the whole thing is it was so family friendly, and there were so many babies and they understand that babies aren't always well-behaved and quiet. Sherri even joked around that she thought her baby was the one screaming, Sherri if you ever read this it was actually mine most of the time hahah. I saw quite a few familiar faces today and honestly just had a good time with good people.

A new friend!

These are just a few pictures from us going to the park earlier.
Yesterday my friend Colleen and I went to Hobby Lobby, then to get sushi at Fresh. When we finished we decided to go get some boba tea from a place that just opened. But seeing as it was Good Friday, they were closed. So she took me and Olivia home and we met up later that night to have some amazing dinner at a friends house. She ended up leaving shortly after she finished eating and Jose and I stayed until 3am! It was such a great night of talking and hanging out.
I think it's so vital to have important conversations. Conversations that have meaning. Jose and I are fortunate to have friends we're comfortable with and close to.

Today we woke up at 11AM, that's so late for us. As soon as we woke up, we all showered and got ready. Colleen came and picked us up and off to Boba-Loompia we went! Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of our drinks. I am constantly fighting between capturing memories and not being that annoying person that always takes pictures of everything.
After Boba-Loompia we went to the park!
OH, and I cut Olivia's hair cos it was getting in her eyes.
Okay, so Colleen and Norah are freaking matching. I know, its almost too much. ^.^
The best way to get a picture of a toddler is to run backwards in front of them. *insert emoji laughing hysterically*
I hate that Jose is blurry in this photo, but it's too cute not to post.

I had such a blast meeting Colleen this weekend. It's so refreshing meeting someone who is so genuine and down to earth. Not to mention, another friend with a baby! I can't wait for her to come back to Tyler and bring her husband!

Easter pictures for friends!

Wednesday, April 1, 2015

I've been trying to get practice here and there with taking photos and it's been helping immensely.
I can only take so many photos of my own kid.
This first set is from Saturday. Little miss Raleigh is definitely not camera shy.
I noticed these little flowers in the yard and had to have them in the shot. ~its the little details~
Here is the last photo I'm sharing in Raleigh's "set".

This next set was taken Monday, when it was extremely gloomy outside. It was also the first time Colleen and I met in person and I absolutely fell in love with her and her daughter!
It was hard to choose a few favorites from these. I already knew which ones of Raleigh I loved, but I didn't spend as much time going over these until last night.
Colleen forgot Norah's huge basket but we improvised in the photo above!
The bunny ears and the crawl, ugh my heart.

You guys, I don't think I've ever seen a happier baby. She was such a joy to take photos of.

I hope you guys enjoyed these photos. It was such a blast getting to take photos of such beautiful girls!

If I don't post between now and Monday, I hope everyone has a great Good Friday and Happy Easter!

Easter photos of Olivia!

Thursday, March 26, 2015

I took a couple quick photos of Olivia for Easter even though it's not for a couple weeks!
It was a lot of fun and the weather was seriously beautiful.
Kinda weird, but I didn't get many photos of Olivia actually smiling.

Every time we put her eggs on the ground to take pictures she put them right back in the basket!

I can't wait to take more photos, this practice has been so so great.

Little details. :3

Hope you guys enjoyed these photos of Olivia, I wish I had more props-but since this is just something I do for fun in my free time I don't have a reason to buy a bunch of random things.

Olivia in the snow!

Wednesday, February 25, 2015

For about 5 minutes we let Olivia play in the snow. AKA walk around until she wanted to go indoors. We enjoyed it much more than she did. I just really wanted to get pictures of her in it.
We got sent home early again. And we are taking full advantage!
So here are a few photos, I hope you guys enjoy!

Our neighbors made this igloo!

I'm so sad the snow is already melting, I didn't get very many photos of the snow.

We've been watching The Office for about 4 days straight, and we only have a few seasons left, but luckily House Of Cards is about to come back on!

Snowed in part 2

OKAY, so, here in Texas we don't get many snow days. So when we do see snow, everyone panics.
That isn't an exaggeration. The drivers are probably much more hazardous than the snow itself haha.
So I got to stay home with babygirl yesterday and we did a whole lot of nothing. Mostly just cleaning the place up. The snow had melted so we couldn't go play in it.

I started with some breakfast, chai tea and some Nutella on toast.

I can't help but admire how beautiful and full of character our home is.

This is our bedroom, or a corner of it. I honestly made the bed just for the photo. I never saw the point of making your bed, the covers would get ruined night after night anyways.
Yes, that is a Dragon Ball Z wall scroll.

Next is the restroom, probably one of the easiest places in the house to clean haha.
I am pretty sure I opened the blinds to every single window in the house. I just loved the natural sunlight coming in.

This is the living room, I'm sure I've shown it on here a few tiems.

My desk where most of my blogging gets done.

Jose finally hung his guitars up in the dining room!

Ahh, my little bb playing with her toys. She's usually flipping through her books. But I think she wanted something that lit up yesterday. :)

I hope you enjoyed some random home photos. I enjoyed actually seeing sunlight on a weekday haha.
We got out of work early today so expect more snow pictures!
Everyone be safe and try to enjoy whatever weather you're having!

In the lake with a chair

Wednesday, October 15, 2014

And completely terrified the entire time that I was going to be bit or strangled by a snake. So bad that at one point I had to pull my feet back in and splash around to "scare" off anything that may be coming near. Geez. I'm so glad that water wasn't crystal clear or I probably wouldn't have gotten in.
My friend did an amazing job. And I seriously cannot wait to work with her again. I'm amazed that you can see exactly where I put my bronzer in the hollows of my cheeks. That's high quality!
It was so great being able to catch up with her again. And I'm excited to see what we do next. Hopefully I won't be such a baby about it haha!

And here's one of me putting my shoes back on complaining about all the scary noises I was hearing and bugs that were biting. (Wow, I sound really obnoxious)
