This was our last day in Dallas! Or in Las Colinas, thats where our hotel was.

I took a few photos around the area, there were literally like 5 or 6 photographers, I would have gotten photos of them taking pictures but I didn't want to seem creepy hahah.

Hm, this may be the perfect spot for this place.

Oh ya know, being a cool guy and all.

I swear this girl is crying in more photos than smiling hahah.

I really hate that she's blurry in this but for whatever reason, the other photos didn't show up. :(

After this we went shopping, I plan on taking photos so I can do a mini haul of what I got, it wasn't very much but I think it'd be kinda fun! I can't wait to develop the roll I just finished cos I got a good amount of photos in this spot. Hope you guys enjoyed these photos from our 3 day weekend!

Memorial Weekend pt.2 : Olivia's first trip to the zoo!

Sunday we went to the Dallas Zoo! This is where I took the most photos! I don't think I used my film camera once here, so all of the photos on my DSLR are the only photos I have. Man, it was the absolute best watching Olivia get so excited over the animals!

What better way to be welcomed? I was actually scrambling around so much to take this photo from the window hahah.

Olivia actually speaks Spanish and English, so when she saw this she immediately started screaming "agua, agua, agua!"

I promise she was excited about the zoo, just not excited that mom and dad wouldn't let her jump in the agua.

This would be Adrian, Gabby, Emmanuel, Jose, Livi, Jose's mom, and his dad. :)

I really loved these, they remind me of the plants out west!

We ended up getting her an umbrella of her own as soon as it stopped raining. -.-

Olivia kept going from excited to scared when the goats would come near her hahah.

This little room was insanely cool! I'd love to hang a few of those on my wall!

I know what you're thinking at this point-no, there weren't any photos of animals. Coming to the zoo as an adult-it isn't fun. For me anyways. They all look so sad and depressed. I guess I would be too if I had to stay in a place that wasn't home. Sure, some zoo's are doing what they can to give the animals a habitat they're used to, but they can only do so much. I just didn't care to take a photo of an animal through a fence or wall of glass. That isn't how these animals should be observed! 

To end this post, I'll leave you with another photo of Olivia. This time, she's a free butterfly. I hope she never feels tied down when she doesn't want to be. Mentally, physically, financially, anything. I want my girl to only be happy. I know she won't always be happy 100% of the time, but a mom can dream. Watching this girl grow up has given me more joy than I could ever imagine. She makes every single struggle more than worth it.

Memorial Weekend pt.1 : Saturday

I'm not sure how many parts to this there will be, but I figured it would be safe to just go ahead and section it off anyways cos of the amount of photos I took. 

Okay so first off, Friday night I hung out with my friend Cari, we got some Chuys and talked about the book I'm currently reading (1Q84) [Btw, if you've read it-lets talk about it!!] and we went to Walmart and then we took her home. 

Saturday, Olivia and I slept most of the day. Or maybe just me, I'm a huge sucker for naps hahah. We left Tyler around 6pm, drove to Dallas-the weather was horrible. Luckily Olivia slept the entire way cos she's terrified of the rain.

That night we went to Chuck E Cheese! Olivia was big enough to get on rides and run around!

After Chuck E Cheese, we went back to the hotel room! So here are a few shameless hotel photos.

Okay, this bed was super comfy. Makes me beyond excited to get our california king, We're currently sleeping on a queen so it'll be a huge change!

This little desk was just absolutely precious! And helped me get all of my blogging done!

It was dark out and this was all the light I had, so don't give me trouble for the quality! Haha.

Nothing exciting here...this was actually the closest I came to this kitchen the entire weekend hahah.

Saturday in Dallas!

So this Saturday we went to Dallas. Mostly cos Jose had to pick up an amp he bought a month before. We decided to make the trip worthwhile and do something fun.

We picked up my friend Carrie and stopped at sonic to get some food, we waited and waited and everyone around us was getting their food and driving off. So we eventually drove around to the drive thru and explained what happened and ended up getting our entire meal free! It was pretty nice.

I'm a creature of habit. Mainly because when I do finally try something new, its terrible. 

When I try a new dish at a restaurant it's nasty. When I take a different route, I get lost. Something always happens. So I get super nervous with trying new things. 

Well I had seen sooo many people posting photos of Pho and I had to have it. 

This was the same day we went to the Perot Museum (you can find that post here)!

I got the chicken noodle, Jose got the beef noodle, and Carrie got the seafood noodle. It was ah-mazing. I can't wait to go back! Not to mention, the boba. *insert heart eyes emoji*

The photos themselves aren't beautiful, I was more worried about enjoying my food, honestly!
We went to Pho Pasteur, it was super cute and very authentic feeling. We obviously used chopsticks and the menu was in Vietnamese.

After Pho Pasteur we went to guitar center! So Jose could pick up his amp.

You can see the clouds behind the building in this photo! Luckily we just missed the rain as we were heading home.
I am personally not the first to volunteer to drive in Dallas. It scares me and I'm not afraid to admit it. I'm the type of driver other people have to watch out for haha. But I sure do love staring out the window while Jose drives.

Perot Museum!

So I decided to turn this little Dallas trip into two sections. One of nothing but photos from going to Perot and the other one will be from the rest of our day in Dallas! 

This museum was...AMAZING. We had so much fun! 

I haven't been to a museum since like middle school and I was beyond excited. The trip was supposed to be for Olivia...but I think us adults were way more excited. 

As soon as we got there they had these little instruments outside.

We decided it would be best to let Olivia run around in the kids exhibit before we went to the exhibits we wanted to go to. 

In her exhibit they had so many cute little sections. She got to climb the Dallas skyline, go up and down stairs by herself, pretend she was camping, color on a chalk table, pretend to grocery shop, and honestly just run around like she didn't have anyone chasing after her.

After running around little Liv took a nap and we got to run around the rest of the museum!

We were laughing incredibly hard because the first panoramic photo that Jose took made us look a little...funny hahah. You can only imagine.

These gems were so mesmerizing. I honestly just couldn't stop thinking about how much the amethyst must have cost.

By this time the museum was starting to close so we decided to go outside!

So...as soon as we got to the museum, we passed this little area and we immediately knew Olivia would have a blast. 

I promise we tried to keep her from going crazy...but we couldn't keep this sweet girl from having the time of her life.

Don't worry, we packed extra clothes for her and her hair dried up right away!

It's hard to enjoy things while also capturing every moment. And I'm totally up for every challenge I get. I didn't get very many photos of each exhibit cos of the lens I brought(50mm) so that's why most of these are close ups of us hahah. We went to a hockey game!

Thursday we got off work early to go to a hockey game! But better believe we took advantage of having a little date lunch before getting our girl. We went to Applebee's and it was actually really really good.

After showering and getting ready, we were on our way!

We finally got to Dallas and were making our way to American Airlines.
